Midge Forecast
The Scottish biting midge is a menace to many across the highlands and islands of Scotland. The Midge forecast is a project to provide information on expected midge levels - similar to the pollen forecast.
This site handles all aspects of data collection, data processing, forecast algorithms, data presentation and data distribution to partners in print and broadcast media.
A fully custom management system integrates with services such as Google Maps for data presentation. The site also features a Wordpress powered blog, and a podcast during the Midge season.
